A common misconception amongst new affiliate marketers is that only one marketing method is required in order to make it big. This is the only way an affiliate marketing business is going to grow.

You must track what you're doing on a daily basis so that you know what's making you the most money. For example, if you have submitted some articles somewhere, you'll want to keep tabs on the responses those articles are getting in relation to clicks and click through rates. Similarly, it's important to know how your pay per click campaigns are performing, so that you can tweak them to bring down the losses and increase the profits.
Another affiliate mistake that is commonly made is promoting those affiliate products that don't have much demand.
You'll want to focus on much more than just how much you'll get paid when it comes to affiliate products. You have to make sure that the product has a demand in the market and that people are looking for a solution in this area. You need to seriously think about the product before you promote it so that you're not selling a product that nobody wants to buy. The way to go about this is to do the proper market research that can help you get a good concept of the product and the need for that product before you promote it. If you find a product that is in demand, see if you can find out how competing affiliates are doing with it. You will only want to promote those products that are not only wanted, but that will bring you the most money.
In summary, the mistakes that we discussed in this article are commonly made by new affiliates. But they aren't too complex, so you can get rid of them early on and not make them.
