Uranus into Aries - World War 3?
- By: Barbara Goldsmith
Look at all the countries in the Middle East and Africa that are demonstrating, rioting, where there is great social unrest: Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Bahrain, Iraq, Iran, Yemen….the list goes on and is growing each week. And we are all interconnected. We cannot sit calmly in another country across the globe and expect that we will not be affected.
Tunisia’s President stepped down in January after 23 years in power as protests over economic issues snowballed into rallies against him. This didn’t only affect the Tunisian people, but has become a headache for Italy who has now appealed to the European Union for help in stemming an immigration “emergency” as hundreds of undocumented immigrants arrive by boat from Tunisia. This could lead to a humanitarian emergency.
One thing is sparking another and Uranus in Aries is a Fire sign, so expect to see the rioting and the discontent spread exponentially. I predicted all this with the toppling of the governments but what I am seeing now is that it is all going to unfold quickly. If you think it is already happening quickly, think again. We haven’t seen the half of it yet. Once Uranus comes into Aries in March, it’s going to go even faster, like a touch paper igniting fires all around the world. The seeds have already been planted. During the 3 passages of Saturn opposite Uranus was when the seeds of discontent were planted. In my view, Uranus is the leading planet in this Cardinal Climax, because it is in Aries which is the first sign of the zodiac. It’s saying: “I want change and I want it now! I don’t know exactly what I want, but I want to be rid of the old structures. I will be violent if necessary to bring about a downfall.”
Let’s face it, look at the US, how many people are arming themselves with guns? I just read that a woman shot her two children because they mouthed off at her. There is this impulsiveness with no concern for the consequences. We are going to see much more of it.
We are all interconnected – don’t think that what is going on in the Middle East and in Africa isn’t going to affect you and where you live. It’s going to affect us all in one way or another. To the best of our ability, we need to prepare for some of the possible changes ahead. However, with Uranus in Aries, it is going to be impossible to prepare for all eventualities. Look at Egypt – with Mubarak and Suleiman – they have very strong Saturn energy, structured energy. What we are seeing with Uranus in Aries, with the crowds and the riots and the demonstrations, that everything is unstructured. There doesn’t seem to be a plan for the future. This is going to be a huge issue. Confusion, directionless energy is a real danger as the people have no structure and don’t know where to put their energy. This is likely to lead to anarchy. They’ve got rid of the existing structure but have nothing to replace it with. People need structure. In a poll among Egyptian people, 75% of them wanted Sharia law to be reinstated. People want to know where they stand, what is acceptable in the eyes of the law and what will be punished. They need that kind of direction.
Uranus in Aries signifies more war, more rioting, more unrest, more sudden shocks to our systems: - our banking systems, our economy, our living conditions, our food prices, the price of oil…Look at the huge increases in food prices. Nearly a billion people in our world are hungry. The balance is all wrong and while Uranus in Aries is trying to shake off the powers that be with their authoritarian strongholds, it does not have the structure or an action plan to put into place something new and effective for the future. It has no idea where it’s going and what it will replace all the old structures.
Whatever happens on the macrocosmic level, also happens at the microcosmic level. So whatever is happening in the world is going to be happening to you in one way or another and wherever this Uranus change of sign is happening in your chart will be the area of your life that is highlighted and most shaken up. You may not be able to be fully prepared. Let’s say for example that it’s happening in your 2nd house of finances, you may find that money comes in and disappears just as quickly. You are unable to hold onto it or save up any security for the future. If it’s happening in your 7th house of relationships, you may find that all your relationships are shaken up. The people you used to be able to depend on, may become unreliable. You may have a break up of a relationship. You may meet someone interesting and exciting but they might exit your life just as quickly as they came into it. You may feel frustrated with your relationship and want more freedom, or your partner may want more freedom and suddenly disappear on you.
For me, it’s happening in my 10th house of career. I am probably going to experience some changes and shifts in my work area over which I have little or no control. Saying that to someone with my Moon in Taurus that wants everything planned out and mapped out perfectly, that’s very disconcerting to say the least! I am trying to have different ideas going on in my head, I am doing my best not to hang onto the status quo which would be the worst thing I could do as nothing is going to stay the same.
Look at where it falls in your chart. Try to link it up to the Cardinal Climax, to the slinking in of Neptune into Pisces in April this year, coming back into its own sign after 165 years. That too will be significant.
What can you do?
Be prepared mentally for big changes ahead.
Try to live as frugally as you can
Get rid of any debts
Be as self-sufficient as possible
Don’t believe all you read and see in the media.
Trust your own gut instincts and do what’s right for you.
