Pablo Picasso was born in the Malaga province of the Andalusian region south of the Iberian Peninsula. He took after his dad to become a professional painter. In 1901 he brought the 'Atre Joven' Magazine into being. Here, the philosopher had the audacity to publish stories that defamed the civil war amongst Spaniards, the Nazi aggression as well as the Second World War. He attended the International Peace Conference held in Poland in the year 1944 where he went ahead to preach the importance of peace. Until his death, Picasso was a champion for a peaceful coexistence amongst people not only in his native country, but in the world as a whole.

This is what Francisco Franco could be described as. He rose to be a triumphant military chief who took office in the duration of the Spanish Civil conflict which saw the entire country thrown into an appalling state of acute brutality and mayhem. Upheaval divergent to Christianity was at its best throughout the country and atrocious tumult was witnessed between the warring religious denominations. Francisco was determined to see an end to this and sure enough calm returned to the country previously torn by conflicts and wars. Since then, the different religious denominations across Spain and Europe have coexisted peacefully with each other and have set an example to be followed by the rest of the world.
