Clearing Up Your Skin The Naturally With Home Remedies

Embarrassing acne breakouts can happen at the worst of times and it seems as though it can take forever to clear up the blemish. Sometimes it feels as though nothing you do helps to clear up your skin. The process of finding a cure for acne may seem never ending. Do you eat a diet high in fats? Fats may have a big impact on the skin. On the one hand, unhealthy fats can contribute to the problem, while healthy fats can help clear it up.

Treat your body and your face better by cutting back on unhealthy fats. Your skin will thank you for it. Fats from beef, pork, chicken, cheese, and milk are called saturated fats and should be cut back. Another type of fat called Hydrogenated fats should be eliminated as much as possible. There are some healthy fats which may actually help heal your acne. These healthy fats include, flax seeds, olive oil, and fish oils. Overall fried foods should be avoided all together. Cut back on vegetable oils too.

One of the best acne remedies is lemon juice, a cheap item you can buy at any grocery store. Lemons work so well due to the L-ascorbic acid they contain. This substance cleans pores and fights off bacteria found in blemishes. Interestingly, L-ascorbic acid, if found in many popular acne products. You can get the same benefit of these expensive products by using a lemon!

Using lemon juice to cure acne is easy. Lemon just is applied the face and left on overnight. In the morning wash the lemon juice off. If you want to get the most potent effect, squeeze fresh lemons into a bowl rather than buying lemon juice. Do you have sensitive skin? If so, then try diluting the juice with some water.

Numerous home remedies for acne exist. If you have a serious acne problem, you may be tempted to try as many home remedies as you can at once. Definitely take a scientific approach to using home remedies for acne and try one remedy at a time. This is the only way you will know what works and what doesn't work for your skin. The only exception to this is common sense advice like eating a healthy diet and drinking plenty of water, which are good for you at all times. If you are trying 11 different products, creams, lotions, etc., to treat your acne, you won't be able to tell which products are getting rid of acne.

Finding the solution to acne problems can be very difficult but if you keep trying different things, eventually you will find something which works. Persistence will pay off! Keep searching until you find the ultimate acne solution which works best for your skin type. Sometimes it may take some time for the home remedy to start working. Give each remedy enough time to work before you move onto the next. Whenever you try a new home remedy for acne, give it a full try for a minimum of two full weeks. After two weeks, then do an evaluation and see if there is any noticeable improvement.
