The Significance Of Great Web Design

Author : Ffrank Hafeer

It's important that your web site layout is logical and easy to navigate. Internet users who land on your website can get quickly frustrated if it is difficult to find information they need, and with fast internet speeds and search engines offering many alternatives, it can be quicker for them to simply close your website and go to another.

One of the quickest ways to organize your website is to look at your menus. Having simple defined menu choices will make locating pages much easier. It's also best to have links to all pages, and not lead users into a maze, clicking through to find the correct link to their final destination. Have a specific purpose for every page that you add, rather than flooding the site with many pages that could have been condensed into one or that are irrelevant to what you're selling, or your company overall.

Your web site is the hub of your online business. It is the virtual representation of your company whether your business exists physically or does not. When you are conducting business on the internet, people cannot see you physically like how they would if they were dealing with an brick and mortar business. As such, people may judge you by your cover. This is where a great designcomes in.

Imagine if you are running an offline business. Would you allow your salesman to be dressed in shabby or casual clothes when they are in touch with your customers? By making your staff wear professional clothes, you are showing your clients that you do care about quality. This works just because first impressions count.

Similarly, the same applies your web site. If your website is put together poorly and looks like a 15 minute "quick fix", you are literally screaming to your potential clients that you are not a professional and you do not care for quality.

On the opposite, if you have a totally professional looking website, you are giving your potential clients the view that you have given meticulous attention to every single detail and you care about professionalism. You are motivated, drivenand you really mean business.

In the same vein, you should also have anything related to your business well designed. From business cards to letterheads to posters, every little bit is important. This is due to the fact that as you grow your business, these things become the face of your business. Once again, think of the "salesperson dressed shabbily" analogy, and you will understand.

A good website will generate confidence and trust in our customers so they come back to you once again. Without this trust, a lasting relationship will not be born and your reputation will suffer as a result. As business isfounded on reputation this is the last thing you would like to happen. So as you can see, having a good website is more important than you thought.
