6 Tips For Natural Acne Treatment

If you are one of those people who tried every product out there to treat acne and got no results, then you should definitely consider using natural remedies.

Most women know that cucumber is great for your skin. It can also be used to fight and prevent acne. Make a cucumber paste, put it on your face and let is stay there for several minutes. Unlike lemon and vinegar cucumber doesn't dry your face, quite the opposite, it moisturize your skin and supplies it with vitamins. Use cucumber mask twice a week and you will see definite improvements to your skin condition.

Take 2 tablespoons of orange peel powder and add 4 tablespoons of yoghurt in it. Mix well and make paste of it. Now apply this paste all over the face, while gently rubbing in circular motion. After sometime, wash it off with cold water. It is an ideal mask to extract dirt and oil from the clogged pores. It also opens the clogged pores that cause acne and blackheads.

Mix rose water with sandalwood and apply on blackheads and pimples. Rinse it off after 20 to 30 minutes.

keeping a healthy diet by avoiding greasy foods, candy, excessive refined sugars and processed food helps curbing the sebum production and reducing acne. Excessive sebum production is caused by hormone imbalance in the metabolism and keeping a healthy and balanced lifestyle helps restoring the hormone balance. Easting leafy greens, fruit and fruit juices, whole grain fibers and exercising regularly, using mild soaps for bath and shower, avoiding excessive alcohol consumption are a few things that help maintaining the hormone balance and preventing acne.

The plant sandalwood is prized for its pleasant smell and microbial repelling properties. Regarding application of sandalwood powder for acne affected skin, mix it with rose water to make a paste form. Coat the acne outbreaks with this paste, leave for 25-30 minutes and rinse with water. A paste of two table spoon of almond powder, one table spoon of milk and one table spoon of orange juice can be used as a scrub. Tomato juice can be applied to the face which act as a good antioxidant and help the skin to generate healthy looking skin.

Linked closely to diet, some people find taking vitamin supplements or eating more of a food high in certain vitamins can decrease their acne outbreaks. Many acne treatments contain some form of Vitamin A. It is thought to be the most effective vitamin in treating acne due to its natural ability to reduce the oil in the skin which builds up and causes acne in the first place.
