South India is an amazing place located in the southern part of India. The place is full of enthralling beauties, cultures and fun opportunities. Locals prefer varieties in food and celebrate their festivals by dancing, wearing new clothes and divine worship. There are a number of white and sandy beaches, lively atmosphere and scenic backwaters for a memorable visit. The cultural diversities in different regions of India boast their pattern of living. Among the rest of India, the culture of south India is unique. They celebrate their culture by dancing, wearing new clothes and religious worship.

Women usually prefer to wear sari and men wear dhoti, which is a traditional dress of locals. The sari is a long piece of cloth worn around the body and dhoti is worn by men to cover their lower part of body.

The different dance forms adopted by South India are Bharatnatiyum, Kathakali, Koodiyatam, Kuchipudi and many more. Bharatnatiyum has a superlative touch among the rest; it is a dance of celebrating the universe through the communication of beautiful body postures that is referred as Natyapurusha.

The people of South India generally consume seafood because of the proximity to coastal areas. There is also a blend of spices in various items, which gives an aromatic taste to them. Coconut is the main ingredient because of easy availability. Popular dishes of the region are uttampa, idle, dosa etc. Among the drinks coffee is the main drink.

The region is full of enchanting places and majestic monuments, which highlight the beauty of the place. Five famous places of South India are: Kaudiar palace, Jewish synagogue, Arjuna's penance, Mysore palace and Char Minar.

Kaudiar Palace:
The palace is renowned as the residence of Maharaja Shri Chitra Thirunal Bala Rama Varma. The view of the palace is astonishing and enchants one with the glorious beauty.

Jewish Synagogue:
The Jewish Synagogue is the ancient marvel made in 1568 AD. The monument is located in Kochi and emblazoned by different copper plates carved with Hebrew script, potted in this synagogue. There are also beautifully designed silver and golden crowns gifted by patrons.

Arjuna's Penance:
The structure is beautifully sculptured with hundreds of carved animals and gods. It is one of the biggest canvases in the world. It is a sensational sight, built at Mahabalipuram. The place was used by Anjuna to practice meditation.

Mysore Palace:
Mysore Palace is known to be the largest palace in the country. It was the residence of Woodiyar Maharaja, designed by British architect Henry Irwin. The palace was originally built in 1876AD but was rebuilt in 1912 AD. The palace known for its magnificent carving and beautifully decorated rooms.

Char Minar:
Char Minar is located in Hyderabad, built by Qutub Shah. It is situated in the lad bazaar of old city. This huge monument is more than four centuries old. It is one of the legendry monuments with Indo-Saracen style, which is a blend of Hindu-Muslim styles.

South India is has everything from divine worship to mesmerizing monuments, lively atmosphere to assorted beaches. One should visit South India at least once in a lifetime.
