Enterprise Hosting: Does It Really Matter?

Author : Gerardo Burns

IF you are planning to have your own business right now, then you must be prepared to have enterprise hosting. Enterprise hosting allows your MIS team to segregate your files and store them in a very large virtual storage system that simply enlarges even as more data coming in be they text or video files. What's amazing about T3 connection nowadays is that you can transmit these data in a very smooth and easy manner the fastest way to your other collocations.

That was not true three years ago when most businesses in the United States and even in the most advanced European countries still use DSL or digital subscriber line connections. That's really a problem because a mere DSL connection will still clog up your virtual and online operations even if you have installed bridges in them.

Then came the advent of a T1 or a T3 connection. These connections travel in super fast speeds that it takes only less than a minute to transmit a 1GB file through email or even through FTP or file transfer protocol. These connections are provided by a master solution provider which is sort of a jack of all trades. There are many reputable master solution providers nowadays here in North America. Among them are Verizon and XO Communications. XO Communication even has its own division tendering on services focused on collocation, the XO Colo.

If your business has two locations, then it is better for you to subscribe to enterprise hosting. The master solution provider here in the United States specializes not just on bulk Internet connection but also in cheap business phone service such as VoIP. In VoIP, all your telephones will be changed to quality Cisco products yet you will be billed only for your monthly use. There will be no installation fee even plus the last mile cable to your location will be installed for free. Master solution providers in the United States nowadays have the best technical support that is why they are confident that they will always rank the first in customer satisfaction surveys. There is no rule on this but firms police among themselves that they always these customer satisfaction surveys so they'll be number one in service.

Most of these business phone service providers maintain affiliates in specific metropolises so I'm pretty sure that there will always be one today that is near your location.
