Acne Home Treatment - Useful Tips To Help Keep Acne Under Control

Author : Rick Minarovich

The worst thing about acne is that you never know when it's going to strike. It often happens on an ocassion like your first big date with that special someone, or when you are going to some big social event. And when it does happen it's hard to keep under control. Here are a few acne home treatment options to help you when it strikes again.

Acne home treatment is the easiest, and usually the best way to fight acne when it flares-up. When the pores of your skin are clogged and inflammation occurs, it's what's called a chronic skin condition. It can lead to permanent scarring and a life-time of suffering. Acne can happen at any age and to any person. Using these solutions to take care of your acne will keep it under control.

Eat right: eating the right foods will help you the most with acne. Home treatment can often be as simple as just improving the nutritional value of your daily food intake. Make sure you get lot a vegetables and fruit, and try to stay away from junk food and other food that will cause a breakout. Foods rich in antioxidants including dark green leafy vegetables, salads, berries and green tea along with healthful fats, like salmon, walnuts and flaxseeds help soothe the inflammation that contributes to acne.

Good skin hygeine should also form part of any acne home treatment plan. Wash your face several times a day, and if you use skin care products be sure they are labeled oil-free, grease-less, and hypoallergenic.
The use of vitamin B, E & A are known to work well on acne. Take 100 mg of niacin and vitamin A per day and include vitamin E in your diet. Sometimes you can take them three or four times a day for bad acne breakouts.

Fenugreek, orange peel, and lemon work very well on acne too. Make fenugreek into a paste and apply nightly to your face before you go to bed. Leave it on all night and wash it off in the morning with warm water. Orange peel needs to be pounded and crushed then mixed with some water and applied to the affected areas. You will see wonderful results. Lemon juice will also work to dry out the acne and clear up your skin faster than some over the counter skin care products made for acne.

Acne is not a pleasant thing to have, but it does happen and a breakout can be devastating when you have an important event that you want to attend, or just when you want to feel good about the way you look. Using simple yet effective acne home treatment solutions can be the easiest way to take care of your acne problem next time you have a flare-up, as well as helping to prevent outbreaks in the first place.
