Learning How To Lose Weight With Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred

Have you ever heard about the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred? How about the south beach diet? The cabbage soup diet? With the number of diet plans containing the supposed best diet foods and best foods for weight loss, it wouldn't surprise me that you've heard of the three above, considering that they're the most famous, most especially, the south beach diet. However, even when given the effectiveness of such diet plans, one cannot deny the fact that they don't actually teach people on how to lose weight.

The truth of the matter is, in order for a person to really lose weight, most especially without relying on a diet plan, such as a Jillian Michaels Diet Plan, even if it is effective, is to learn how to really lose weight, and if one is able to do that, then the rest will be as easy as pie.

The first thing that a person should learn about losing weight is that the body is burning calories constantly, and this is called as the metabolism. We burn calories while we sleep, while we eat, while we sit down, watch television, and even while you're reading this article, and this metabolism can be sped up by either building up your muscles, since more muscle means more calories burned, even while sleeping, and engaging in rigorous physical activities, since it speeds up just about everything in your body, until you need to rest.

Knowing how metabolism works is key, so that you'll know how to effectively burn the calories you've just taken in and that takes us to the other things you need to learn, mainly, calorie intake and calorie burn. In order to lose weight, calorie intake must be less than calorie burn. However, there is confusion with this, most especially since if a person engages in a lot of physical activity, then he/she is required to increase calorie intake accordingly, and as such, this also takes us to the next important reminder, and that is, discipline and knowledge.

Do your research first and if you can, ask a dietician. Ask him what are the healthy food sources for the necessary vitamins and minerals so that your body can function properly, and how to increase it accordingly while you engage in a lot of physical activity without spiking up the calorie intake so much as to have more calories taken in than calories burned.

Also, apart from the things mentioned above, rest is also important. Our bodies will burn out eventually if a person does not rest, even if he/she sleeps than usual 7-10 hours a day. In fact, a person cannot do rigorous activities on a daily basis, and if he/she can, there will come a time wherein his/her body will give in to the stress of these physical activities and by then, the person will be in a lot of "self-induced" pain. So, if you do not want to be in that predicament and if you don't want to endanger your health, then do your best to exercise well, eat well and rest well.
