Keep In Contact Through The Social Networking Sites

Author : Dakota Lindal

Social networking is quite an old concept but it has got a brand new dimension in the current era of the Internet. Humans are social beings and we all belong to some society. There are very few people on earth who lives their entire life in total solitude. Hence by social network we can always refer to a group of people who have something in common. For instance if you're a member of a club you belong to the social network formed by the members of that club, including you. Again if you're an activist of a political party you form a social network with all the other activists of that party. Thus social networking exists in our world in one way or the other since time humans became civilized.

From the advent of the Internet, we now have got a fresh new perspective to social networking. Some websites came up with an idea of online social networking. The procedure is very simple. You have to register online using your email id to those websites and you become a member. Once you are a member you're in the social network of all the fellow members of that website or even more precisely that social networking site you are able to say.

These social networking sites work on the premise of the networking theory. The individual members are treated as nodes and the relationship among these members are the threads connecting the nodes. For example, once you are member of a social networking site you can create your own social network with all your school friends. Only you and the friends may have access to that and you with the other members of this particular community can trade thoughts, ideas, jokes, pictures and a lot more. Thus both you and your friends would be the nodes and the relationship thread is the fact that all of you had studied within the same school.

The appearance of social networking over the Internet has caused a serious stir in the whole world. Keeping and getting in contact with friends and family scattered in various places was never easier.
