The HTC ChaCha Is A Dedicated Facebook Phone

Author : Reg Spencer

HTC recently announced the launch of the high-end smart phones that will be replacing the HTC Desire and others at the Mobile World Congress. However, without doubt, the phones that have got a lot of attention at the tech show has been the HTC Chacha, which is the Facebook phone from HTC. In fact, Facebook seems to be one of the things that the HTC Chacha because it to be offering support to plenty of other social networking sites as well. The HTC Chacha looks extremely similar to the BlackBerry and the comparisons between the two become unavoidable since they will be using the same design theme.

The HTC Chacha will be having a touchscreen display that will be flanked by the presence of a physical full QWERTY keyboard. This touch screen display in the phone will be measuring 2.6 inches in size and it would be capable of displaying an astonishing level of detail. This could be due to the extremely high resolution of 480 x 320 pixels that it supports. It is the kind of resolution that you will normally see in extremely high end touch screen phones that will be having screen size is in the region of 3.5 inches to 4 inches. However, the fact that this resolution will be displayed on a screen that will be having a size of just 2.6 inches brings it almost close to the resolution of the Apple iPhone 4.

The HTC Chacha's main advantage over its rivals will be the fact that it will be having a full QWERTY keyboard, which will be used to type all your Facebook status updates and comments. The internal memory of the phone will be of great advantage to the user because it will be supplemented by the presence of 32 GB of memory card support. Hence, you can store a number of photos that you might have downloaded from your friends on Facebook profile. The biggest advantages that are present in the full QWERTY keyboard will be easily overtaken by the presence of the five megapixel camera and the phone. This camera can be used to capture your photos at any moment you wish and immediately share them on your Facebook profile. This is something that not many phones can do it with such ease, but the HTC Chacha can because it is a social networking phone.

The Android 2.4 operating system is expected to be used in the new phone and it will be run by the 600 MHz processor in the phone. The phone will be available in two different colours, black and silver. It is expected to pose a significant confusion in the minds of the buyer because this phone looks excellent in both colours. This might be due to the design of the phone, which is futuristic. The HTC Chacha has just been announced by the company, alongside the HTC Salsa. It is not expected to be arriving into the UK markets before May, with the prices that have not been revealed yet.
