Herbal supplements have found their respectful place in the health industry. Unlike the pharmacological drugs and products these are safer since they are natural in their ingredients. The green tea herbal supplement contains catechin polyphenols, and epigallocatechin gallate. The epigallocatechin gallate, also known as EGCG, is an excellent anti-oxidant. It is the EGCG that helps improve the HDL cholesterol, and also fight the cancer cells. Furthermore, it is effective against the LDL cholesterol too. It reduces the ratio of the bad cholesterol, which is also called as LDL cholesterol, and thus reducing the chances of atherosclerosis, i.e. thickening of the arteries carrying blood, which causes high blood pressure and other cardio vascular diseases. This condition can also lead to stroke and heart attack.

Green tea herbal supplement is a good diuretic. Thus it helps excretion of the unwanted toxins, and waste and thus helps purifying the body and blood. Many use this supplement as an astringent. It is learned to have the ability to control bleeding too.
