Author : Janise Majette

When you are engaged in marketing on the net, there are several things you cannot get wrong - failing to identify and know your target market is one of them. You can do everything right but if you get you're not able to identify your target market in the start, all your efforts will be in vain. What we have for you are three proven methods you can use to find your target audience.

Perhaps you already know how important keyword research is to your success. This is perhaps the best and most accurate way to discover target audiences. When people search online, they use specific keywords or key phrases to look around and find the websites of their choice. Those keywords are the clues to who your particular target audience is. But it is the three and four word keyword phrases that you are most interested to know about. You can discover all kinds of information such as problems and other concerns your market has. There are many tools and services that help you gather your own list of relevant keywords. Two you can use are Google Keywords Tool which is free - if you have an Adwords account; the other is Wordtracker which is not free but comes with a seven day trial which is nice. Wordtracker is available only as a monthly subscription fee, but you can create an Adwords account and use Google Keywords Tool. Once you find the right keywords, it becomes extremely easy for you to find your target audience.

Focus on the people that would enjoy your product the most and get the most benefit out of it. How you find your target audience pretty much depends on how you plan to market and advertise your product. There are a ton of methods, ways, and places to find your target audience - so do not worry about this. If you created a solution to a problem that many people have, then that implies you have an audience for your product. When you undergo these various processes, you will have a better feel for your audience and how to find them.

Also, it is possible to learn from niche blogs that are relevant to your topic. When you read the blogs, what you will discover are a bunch of little details that can be helpful.

Your aim here is to go through these posts and see if you can get any unique insight. You might find posts that talk specifically about a very narrow topic, which may turn out to be a place where your target audience lies. Overall, it just makes a lot of sense to do your research with the top blogs in your market, because bloggers know their target audience well enough to help you. These three approaches to finding your target audience in any market are not hard to do. So much of your other marketing and advertising activities will get a lot easier and faster to execute. Now you are a little more armed and dangerous, and that is good for you.
