RSS Drip Feeds Is The Best Solution For Your Lost Backlinks

Author : Walter James Hart

RSS - this is a format for publishing news on the news and similar websites, ranging from major news sites to personal blogging. But in fact, you can publish not only the news. Virtually any material that can be divided into separate parts, you can publish using RSS drip feeds: such as, announcements of recent publications in "wiki", information about updates in CVS, history of changes made to the book. Once information is converted into a format RSS, program understanding this format, can extract the information about the changes and depending on the result, such as, will automatically take any action.

Programs which can work with RSS are called aggregators, and they are very popular among people who have blogs. Some programs-diaries even allow others to make comments to records. Many blogs are able to post in RSS format. The program-aggregator allows you to collect all these publications together and you get the opportunity to simultaneously watch the emergence of new news at all sites at once and read their summaries without visiting each site separately. From the user side RSS works as follows: a user installs a special program RSS-aggregator (RSS-reader). Then he points a special address, called a RSS-feed.

Now we should mention the file which, in fact, will organize the feed. This file has the basic information: naming of news, descriptions, links to their full articles on the site, the upgrade and some other data. RSS-aggregator checks the status of this file and, if something has changed there, certainly shows the changes to the user. Different RSS-aggregators display information from RSS in different ways. How to start using RSS? To start you need to decide whether you want to use RSS drip feeds for personal use, getting news on a personal computer, or you want to use a RSS- feed on your site.

For personal use often there is no need to install on your computer additional software, as a number of Internet browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Maxthon, Mozilla Thunderbird, Opera, Microsoft Internet Explorer since version 7.0) already knows how to read RSS-feeds, and simply add a bookmark to the RSS-feed from this page or directly to page of the RSS-feed. You will be able to automatically get the headlines and watch the news after launching the browser. If your browser does not support reading RSS, you will need a special program aggregator (such programs are still often called News Reader).

It will display information from a particular site. After its installation, you will have to put the source in the program. How to subscribe to the RSS-drip feeds? If your browser supports reading RSS, just load in your browser page of the site or page of RSS-feed. You will see a browser warning about the presence of RSS. Simply add a bookmark to the RSS-feed. If your browser does not support reading RSS, then install any RSS News Reader and copy link to the RSS-news channel into the dialogue of creating a new feed. This service is very useful because it gives you an opportunity to put new content to your site.
