Coffee Makers For College Students

Author : Jacabo Jacobs

There are some pros to being a school tutor. One of them is getting the inside scoop on what kids are into.

So when one of the parents told me she was getting a Keurig single serve coffee maker for her college daughter, a light went off in my head. It occurred to me that kids, both high school and college age students, are having more and more coffee. In the past this would never happen.

When I was in college, very few students were drinking coffee. Now, they are connoisseurs of the stuff. Our year book's theme two years ago was about coffee, I didn't even notice. Transporting their textbooks in one hand and their coffee in the other students are showing up from different coffee shops.

We have had a Keurig single serve coffee system in the room behind the storage center. It was there where the perks of this maker came into light.

There is no contrast in the quality of the coffee even though it does cost a little bit more than the coffee you would buy at a grocery store.

I order my desired k-cups on the net and save money there, but they still cost additional. There is just no way that I can critic the price because the taste is superb.

So my comrade is mentioning to me about the Keurig coffee unit her daughter has at college. The girl was mentioning to her mom how superb the system is because they don't have a kitchen at school. There is no clean up, no mess, and they can make one cup and go straight to class without looking back.

This is a great alternative because kids are usually on a really tight budget during college. In the past they used to pay 3-4 bucks for their morning "Joe" while in high college. By making their own cup of coffee they are actually cutting back more money. For both students and parents it is a win-win circumstance. The students are obtaining their coffee and the parents are cutting back $100 or more each month. As a parent, you can even put a Keurig single serve coffee maker bug in Grandma's ear. The grandparents are always trying to help out or acquire things for their grandchildren, and this would really give them some "trend status" in the eyes of their grandkids.

What's on your counter? To enjoy a single cup coffee maker you don't have to be a college student.
