Overcoming Objections In MLM Using Only Three Words

Author : Scott W Zlateff

One of the most critical aspects of a successful person in the MLM / network marketing industry is overcoming objections. In this article I'm going to reveal to you a different understanding of objections, what they really mean and how to overcome them and recruit people like crazy.

First of all you have to understand where objections come from if you want to overcome them. Every person has a different set of experiences they have gone though in life. The nature of these experiences is made up of both good and bad. A typical person tends to always remember the bad more than the good. So they instinctively object out of fear.

Now if you can qualify your prospect ahead of time, it makes overcoming objections much easier. But lets say that you haven't properly qualified a person and they went through an information process about your opportunity.

One thing you must do is change your perspective on overcoming objections. Many people tense up or get frustrated when a prospect gives an objection. I want you to get excited because objections are a shortcut to why a person would join you in the first place.

Now why do I say that? Because if you ask one question and follow up with another, it will give you the keys that will unlock the kingdom.

There are really only a few objections that ever come up and the main ones are no time, no money or both. Overcoming objections for this is simple. No matter what a person says you can play around with "WHAT IF" and "WHY".

Let's say Tom says "I don't have the money". You say, "Okay I understand that Tom, but what if you did have the money, would you join then?"

This is one of the most valuable questions because it does a number of things at once. First it qualifies to see if the person is even wanting to join or not. If they say "no I don't want to join" then you just shortcut to the "no" and you don't even need to overcome that objection. You can just move on.

If they say yes, then you simply say "Why would you join?" This question is great because it connects all of their emotions to why they are wanting to join. The best part is that THEY are telling you everything. So perk your ears up because they are going to tell you all the reasons why they would join you in your opportunity.

Let's say they tell you "Well I want to make more money so I can buy a house" or "I want my kids to have a better future" or "There are a lot of layoffs happening at my job so I want a plan B just in case."

What ever the reason they give you, ask them "Is that really important to you?" They'll say "Yes". Then you say, "Well did you just give yourself enough reasons to find the money so you don't have to worry about that job anymore?"

This can be done for overcoming objection after objection after objection. If they have more than one. You simply group all of them together and do the same thing.
