Machu Picchu Travel - Picturesque American Tourist Spots

Machu Picchu is among the top destinations of South America. Built by people of Inca civilization, the place has architectural ruins that were built about 600 years ago. Machu Picchu Travel can be one of the fascinating trips for those who are interested in exploring the city details and have a keen interest in knowing about this charming civilization.

Located in the vicinity of Andean Mountains, Machu Picchu has several attractions that are not only adventurous to explore but are also enchanting. Hyuana Picchu is one such place. This place is popular among the hikers. The climb to the trail is a rugged path and takes about an hour to cover. The slope is steep and one can have aerial views of Machu Picchu from it. Another attraction at this place is Moon Temple which includes several cave architectures that were meant for worshipping. Machu Picchu Travel also consists of panoramic landscapes and beautiful sceneries that are captivating. Putukusi cliff is a sacred cliff that is built amidst breathtaking landscapes that make the visit a thrilling experience. The city of Teotihuacan is an archeological site of Mexico that is visited by the largest number of tourists as compared to other ruins of the city. It was an important center of religion and trade. The colossal pyramids of Sun and Moon are the main attractions of this tourist site. These structures along with the charming houses were built in stucco. The Pyramids had religious significance. Pyramid of Sun is the third largest in the world. Built in second century, this structure is accessible through steps. There is a cave system underneath the pyramid and houses artifacts form the ancient era. Pyramid of Moon is smaller than that of Sun. The climbing is much more difficult due to the large size of the steps.

Another attraction of Teotihuacan is Citadel which lies opposite to the entrance. This was the seat of administration of the city. There are many buildings and rooms in this plaza. Temple of Quetzalcoatl is a pyramids temple that is now in ruins. This four-tier structure has sculptures of serpents and mythical gods. There are also Tlaloc masks that have been carved on the tiers of the temple. The palace of Jaguars is adorned with murals of the animals.

Canaima National Park is the biggest National park of Bolivar state and the second largest of Venezuela. Flanked by Brazil and Guyana, this picturesque place is rich in savannas and montana forests. The cascading waterfalls falling from the Table Mountains create an eye-catchy site. The largest waterfall of the world, Angel, falls from a height of 978 meters. Due to its ecological and biological significance, this park was named as World Heritage Site. The flat mountains which are better called as tepuis form the main features of Canaima National Park. As far as flora and fauna are concerned, there are over 9000 species of plants that are found here. In addition, the Park is a home to several endangered species of animals like jaguars, armadillos, and many birds.
