The Range Of Breast Enhancement Treatment

Author : Darren Willsmith

Many people want to get breast enhancement for different reasons. Sometimes, a person has problems with their breasts and wants them enhanced. If you have always wanted to improve the way you look, you should talk with a breast enhancement specialist.

Specialists offer a full range of treatments and can discuss this during consultation. There are many questions that a person might have on the first consultation. If you have queries or don't feel sure about a particular part of the surgery, you can always discuss that first with the consultant. The consultant will make sure that you are entirely happy before they go forward with any surgery.

Surgery is a big decision and you need to be 100% sure that you want to do it. It may be best to take a friend with you to the consultation. If you do have any second thoughts, you can talk them over with your friend.

Breast surgery is one of the most popular forms of cosmetic surgery procedure. If a woman has small breasts, she may feel embarrassment. Surgery can help make some woman feel much more confident.

When a woman has a baby, it can change their shape. The shape of a woman's breasts may change or drop completely. Surgery can make the shape better and improve the way a woman feels about herself. Surgery involves inserting an implant behind the natural breast tissue to enlarge the size and create better symmetry.

It is possible to make an incision in the armpit or around the edge of the areola. The surgery usually takes place in hospital where a person requires an overnight stay. However, on some occasions the surgery can be completed in a day.

The operation requires a general anesthetic and takes about one to one and a half hours. A small hole is made in the crease under the breast, the armpit or edge of the areola. The Cosmetic surgeon informs the individual on the best procedure for them.

When the hole is made, the surgeon makes a pocket for the implant to sit inside. The implant may be placed beneath the muscle or beneath the breast tissue. The size and shape of a person determines the overall result of the position of the implant. All of the procedure and expected results will be discussed during consultation.

There are two kinds of implant available, saline and silicone. Silicone implants are more common as they provide a much more natural shape and feel. A consultant will discuss issues directly linked to implants such as capsular contracture and when you should change the implants.

Following the surgery, you will need to keep your breasts well supported. Your stitches and/or dressings will be removed after seven days, at which time you can return to work. Sometimes you will have to have drainage tubes that will be taken out the day following your surgery. If you do have to have drainage tubes then these will be removed before you go home. Breast enhancement surgery can make a person feel sore and swollen for several weeks. In fact, it can take a number of weeks before your implants move into a more natural position and feel.
