Agnostics are the best cause they just say that no one knows. That is what Bill mayer and that is why he made this film. If didnt wath the movie, watch it, and if you did, listen to it again but this time, try to have a open mind. You will be able to see that all he i saying is that no one knows and religion was created to give people a answer to the unknown.

Totally agree. you can turn someone of logic to religion if you show them the facts n REAL proof (which will never happen) and we will belive. If you talk logic and facts to religious ppl they cant handle it and get al defensive. simply because they know they are wrong but dont wna admit it

How is someone NOT beleiving in something which has NO evidence to support it, an idiot? Humans are irrational beings, scared of death. When your a child you make up imagionary friends to talk to when you are lonely. When you are older you make up imagionary friends to ease your fear of death. There are an infinite amount of unfalsifiable things to believe in. You are an idiot to believe in any one of them, and you are an idiot to disagree with those who use logic and evidence to form beliefs.

It's not about proving or disproving god. You. Can. Do. Neither. Any atheist claiming that because you can't prove god exists, he doesn't, is an idiot. Likewise, anyone claiming that because you can't prove god doesn't exist, he does, is stupid. However, since he cannot be proven either way...you have to side with what you can see. Regardless of his existence, he's not going around visibly speaking to world leaders with numerous witnesses. You can only depend on human reason, however faulty.

Well actually 99% of all scientists arent athiests but its still very high. It is 93%. Now this is what i have to say. Know one knows whether god exists or not so what is the point of disscussing it. I mean sure mabe you are right but then again mabe others are right But see the key word is Belief. Every body has their own thing to believe in but no one has any facts to support it. All we can say is that none of us know until we actually die and find out. Now we can all just put this to rest.

Actually there is no evidence and that claim is purely asinine propaganda perpetuated by the religious. The origins of that myth are based upon the research of Dr.Duncan MacDougall, his experiments were inconclusive and erroneously conducted and several tests were thrown out where weight was lost, then gained or where weight was gained and not lost.A computer can be conscious if its programmed to be, and the body dies when the system as a whole fails to operate.

Why does he show so much anger and contempt towards any and all religions? in the movie Expelled it was giving both sides a chance and then letting everybody make up their own minds, but this movie was made specifically to find the radicals and make them look like religion is a total hoax . . . well I guess I should have expected it knowing Bill Maher's hate for religion

I've seen this film described as "controversial". It's only controversial in the context of religious belief. If you have no religious beliefs, what Maher says is about as controversial as saying "the sun sets". Religion is like being overweight...you only realise the burden you were carrying once the weight is lost.

I found this film tedious. Maher simply mocks interviewees who hold religious beliefs...big deal. If it were funny, informative or tell us things we hadn't already heard 1000 times before, it might be worth watching. Instead, it avoids any real probing in favour of crass locker room jokes & the tired old "you believe in a talking snake?!" cliches. Maher isn't funny & is not particularly intelligent, neither is he controversial...he's simply treading very old ground very conservatively.
