You will need to add the music first and then save the file as a movie file. After that, take the movie file and put it into windows movie maker and narrate that. You can also do it the other way around. Basically when you save it as one file (video file) you can re-add it to movie maker. Hope that helps

When you are adding a narration to a video, you have to make sure that you have a proper mic and that it is plugged into the proper jack on your computer. In many cases, you will have a pink jack that is for the mic on the computer. After you stop the narration, a file should automatically pop up that displays the sound file and then you would bring that in to the video. Does that help?/

on your computer, there's the sign of mike. Connect to that port. If not, maybe your headphone is broken

if you narrate when you already set some clip (example: 6 minute clip), you just can narrate for 6 minute.Try to don't use clips. When you import file, there's check box on the bottom that says create clips for video files. UNCHECK it.

On your computer, you should be able to check the volume of the microphone which will be located on a speaker at the bottom right corner of your computer. Make sure that the volume is up there. Also, on many PC computers, the mic input will be pink and the headphones will go into a green. Does that help?

i have a headset with microphone, but it wont work! there are two cables but one plug. i used the cable with the headset icon on it and it didn't work, then i tried the cable with the microphone icon on it and it didn't work! now what?

You will actually need a microphone as that is where the sound comes in to the computer. Headphones are only for listening unless they have a mic attached to them.

This doesnt help, when I try to narrate a long 10 minute clip, I get patches of random static. Ive used 2 different mics that work fine and I get this annoying static. Any thoughts?
